On September 26, 2026, the Palucca University of Dance Dresden and its integrated secondary school will open their doors to anyone interested in dance, education and everyday school life. Starting at 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., visitors can expect a diverse program with authentic insights into classes, informational offers, discussion opportunities and guided tours of the University and the secondary school.

Take the opportunity to get to know the Palucca University of Dance Dresden and its special educational structure from artistic dance to general education - personally, openly and directly on site.

Take a look behind the scenes

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Palucca University of Dance Dresden will open its doors to all dance enthusiasts, families and the curious. Starting at 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., visitors can expect a diverse program with insights into everyday student life, open classes, information offers and hands-on activities for children and young people.

Open lessons

Experience live lessons in classical dance, contemporary dance and improvisation. You will also get exclusive insights into rehearsals for the upcoming “Palucca Tanz Studio” series of events.

Activities for children

A varied program invites children to dance along, try out and discover.
Please remember to wear suitable clothing and non-slip socks. There are no changing opportunities.

Children and young people who are interested in the integrated secondary school can also get to know the premises and find out how theory and dance training at the Palucca University are linked. Teachers from the secondary school will be available on site for discussions, questions and exchanges.

Campus tours

Get to know the university campus. The tours offer exclusive insights into dance halls, classrooms, the costume shop, the recording studio, physiotherapy, the boarding school, the library and the archive. The tours are accompanied by staff and students.
Start: 11:00 a.m. (in sign language), 12:00 p.m. (in english), 1:00 p.m.

The university premises are equipped with the “Blindfind” system, which enables people with visual impairments to find their way around the university building more easily.
